The Cefn Fforest Communities First Partnership is an organisation composed of representatives from across the statutory, community, voluntary and private sectors working within the Welsh Assembly Government’s flagship regeneration programme, Communities First. The Partnership meets every 6 weeks at Cefn Fforest Community Centre. In addition to the main Partnership, there are 4 sub-groups that address particular subject areas:
Although the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation ranked the Cefn Fforest ward 116th out of 865 for disadvantage, and thus ineligible for ward-wide Communities First support, a sub-ward area was delineated and designated CF status. The Partnership seeks to alleviate the deprivation in the community by: · Providing input to decision-making processes · Influencing public expenditure · Influencing service design and delivery · Identifying projects and initiatives with community and voluntary groups · Providing a forum for community consultation on strategies and plans · Supporting community groups access funding Next Page |
